What is globalisation?

In A Level Geography, globalisation is the process of increasing interconnectedness and integration between countries, driven by advancements in technology, communication, and international trade.

At A Level, globalisation is explored in greater depth, including its economic, cultural, political, and environmental dimensions. It examines the role of transnational corporations (TNCs), trade blocs, and international organisations in shaping global systems, as well as the impacts of globalisation, such as economic growth, cultural homogenisation, and the widening of global inequalities.
