Bivariate Data - GCSE Maths Definition

Bivariate data refers to data that involves two different variables and is used to explore the relationship or correlation between them. In GCSE Maths, understanding bivariate data is important as it helps students analyse how changes in one variable might affect another, using statistical tools like scatter plots or correlation coefficients. For example, if you are examining the relationship between study time and exam scores, each pair of values (study time and the corresponding score) makes up the bivariate data. Analysing this data can help in making predictions and informed conclusions about the two variables.
