About

  • Stewart has been an 11-18 classroom teacher and head of department for thirty five years in a mixture of UK and overseas schools

  • After a brief spell teaching at three secondary schools in Surrey, he started his overseas teaching career as a Fulbright Exchange teacher to Portland, Oregon where he taught Honors Chemistry and AP Chemistry in an inner city High School.

  • From there he moved on to international schools in Costa Rica, Paris, Oman, Brunei, Uruguay and China. Apart from teaching Chemistry in both English and Spanish, he has taught Physics, Environmental Systems & Societies, and even a bit of Drama and Film Studies

  • In 2021 Stewart joined Save My Exams as a Content Creator and is now Subject Lead for Chemistry

  • Apart from teaching Chemistry has been a Director of Model United Nations and a Team Leader for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

  • Stewart was a contributing author to the ASE SATIS Atlas, a resource for use with both SATIS 14-16 and SATIS 16-19

  • Stewart has written numerous articles for the School Science Review

Education

  • Stewart graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BEd Joint Honours in Chemistry and Education.

  • Stewart has taught A Level Chemistry, IB Chemistry, AP Chemistry, GCSE Chemistry, IGCSE Chemistry, IGCSE Physics, IB ESS, O Level Chemistry, US High School Chemistry and the Costa Rican Bachillerato Nacional in Chemistry.

  • Stewart has been an IB Chemistry Assistant Examiner since 2016 and CIE A Level Chemistry since 2016.

  • Stewart was made a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2016.
