Oluwapelumi is a Pharmacy graduate from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a licensed Pharmacist with the Pharmacist’s Council of Nigeria. He’s a member of the Cambridge Assessment Network and has helped develop a chemistry curriculum for Africa’s foremost online private university, Miva.
Making a bold decision to transition from a pharmacy career to education, he has worked with Africa’s biggest Edtech — uLesson group — as a secondary math and science lead, creating exciting and engaging science-based lessons for over 300k+ students. From there, Oluwapelumi has worked with different tutoring platforms and schools, providing creative chemistry teaching strategies and improving student performance. Apart from teaching chemistry, he has also taught biology and mathematics at the IGCSE level.
Achievements in their field
In private conversations, Oluwapelumi likes to joke that he’s fluent in two languages: English and Chemistry. And while this may sound tongue-in-cheek, he is passionate about chemistry education. With over 15,000+ hours of IGCSE, GCSE, IB, AP, and A&AS Level chemistry tutoring experience, he has helped many students worldwide overcome their fear of chemistry and excel in high-stakes exams.
