Education and work
Martín's academic pursuits unfolded at Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where the study of Chemical Engineering ignited his passion for chemistry. His explorations in computational chemistry and physical chemistry led to the development of QSAR studies utilizing electronic and topographic descriptors. Engaged as a researcher at the USFQ Computational and Theoretical Chemistry Group, Martín contributed by implementing python scripts that go from an optimization algorithm to software that can predict electrophilicity. His time through the group resulted in being co-author of two scientific papers and the presentation of a scientific poster.
Achievements in their field
Martín has been an altruistic chemistry tutor, in English and Spanish, with a five-year background in guiding students toward success in IB Chemistry and AP Chemistry tests. Currently, Martín is dedicated to teaching the IGCSE Extended Chemistry Course, alongside SL and HL Chemistry. He has also contributed to a prominent US online tutoring platform, providing invaluable support for college and AP Chemistry. Martín's core belief revolves around the idea that by helping someone you are helping everyone.
Martín’s academic journey as an IB Chemistry student culminated in a score of 7. His success was rooted in firsthand experience, meticulously preparing through comprehensive exam techniques and rigorous practice questions.
