Education

• Marlene completed her undergraduate studies at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, with a Bachelor of Science degree, specialising in the field of biodiversity and ecology. This was followed by a postgraduate certificate in education with Biology and Natural Science as her main subjects.

Teaching Experience

• With over 16 years of teaching experience at various schools across South Africa, Marlene has a wealth of knowledge on how to help students achieve their best. The past three years was spent teaching IGCSE and A level Biology at an international school, which gave her valuable insight into some of the UK exam boards.

Student success

• Marlene has aimed to instil a love for Biology in her students. Over the years she has guided many students towards achieving their full potential in the subject by creating countless worksheets, revision notes and slide shows as a supplement to her teaching. These skills are now being used to create high quality content for SME.
