Lucy has been a part of Save My Exams since 2024 and is responsible for all things Psychology & Social Science in her role as Subject Lead. Prior to this, Lucy taught for 5 years, including Computing (KS3), Geography (KS3 & GCSE) and Psychology A Level as a Subject Lead for 4 years. She loves teaching research methods and psychopathology. Outside of the classroom, she has provided pastoral support for hundreds of boarding students over a four year period as a boarding house tutor.
Her passion and enthusiasm for Psychology stems from studying it at A Level. Ever since, she has been driven to share the love of the subject with others, particularly thriving on inspiring students as both a teacher and tutor - many who have gone on to study it at university themselves. Lucy set up and ran extra curricular activities on Psychology enrichment and Cultural Society, facilitating a love for understanding the brain, mind and behaviour.
Lucy enjoys challenging herself and constantly learning, recently completing a 4 month Software Engineering Course.
Outside of work, Lucy likes to put her psychological expertise and organisational skills to use through interior design and property renovation. She loves music and travel, reaching 30 countries.
Lucy graduated from the University of Sussex with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology with a study abroad year (at the University of Amsterdam).
She completed her PGCE with QTS at Canterbury Christchurch University.
Lucy has taught Geography and Computing at KS3, and specialises in Psychology A Level.
Her main exam board of expertise is AQA A Level Psychology.
Lucy’s forte is the skill of evaluation and Research Methods topic. She particularly loves Statistics as she finds effective strategies to help students master this topic.
She has created a wide range of topic assessments and enjoys designing difficult questions to aid students to excel.
