About

  • Lisa has been with Save My Exams since 2023. She was a teacher and Head of Business in schools across Kent, UK for more than twenty years and taught thousands of GCSE, A-level and IB students over a 20+ year career. Lisa was nominated for a Times Educational Supplement teaching award, in recognition of her work mentoring student teachers.

  • Lisa has extensive examining experience and has worked in a variety of roles for each of the leading UK examining boards as well as the International Baccalaureate Organisation. She is now a senior A-level Business examiner and team leader for Edexcel.

  • Lisa has run her own successful tutoring business, which provided online and face-to-face tutoring for A-level Business students. In addition, she has coordinated Young Money and Young Enterprise programmes in schools. She developed the popular Mini-MBA course for a popular international school and contributes teaching and learning resources to popular online platforms including TES and Kahoot.

Education

  • Lisa graduated from Keele University with a BA in Business Administration and Human Resource Management. She completed her PGCE in Secondary Education at Staffordshire University.

  • Lisa has taught Business at Key Stage 4 and 5, specialising in A-level and GCSE Business.

  • Her particular area of expertise is Business Finance.

  • Lisa particularly enjoys using contemporary examples in her teaching to enliven content and help students to relate their learning to real life.
