About
Kristin has 10 years’ experience teaching high school students in the US, with a focus on Human Geography, World History, Middle Eastern Studies and US Government.
During her time teaching, she has redesigned the AP Human Geography curriculum, as well as History, improving student AP scores.
Alongside her work in the classroom, she works as an exam grader for the College Board and the Educational Testing Service where she has scored portions of the SAT exam as well as sections of AP US History.
Her teaching career started at the University of Texas where she assisted in lectures and taught seminar courses in US and Middle Eastern History for 9 years.
Kristin has taken on volunteer positions, including the American Historical Association Annual Conference Programming Committed, as well as being part of the Teacher Advisory Committee for the Historic New Orleans Collection and the Global Nomad Group.
She has presented papers in the field of Middle Eastern Studies and World History at a variety of conferences across the US.
Kirstin speaks multiple languages, including Arabic, Turkish and Latin.
Kristin shows her passion for history by volunteering as a judge at the National History Day competition.

Kristin has written articles for multiple journals, such as Journal of Third World Studies and Arab Studies Journal.
Kristin wrote and implemented AP curriculums for European and US History.

Kristin has a Ph.D in history from the University of Texas, specializing in Middle East History, World History and Islamic History and Thought.
She holds a Masters in History and a Masters in International Development
Kristin holds a Louisiana teaching certificate in Social Studies grades 6–12.
