• Charlotte has been with Save My Exams since 2024. Previously, she was a Head of Business and Economics for twenty years and taught thousands of key stage 3, GCSE, A-level, and international students over a 32-year teaching career. She has a well-established reputation for inspiring and engaging a diverse range of students, regardless of their abilities, across sixth-form and 11–18 institutions in both the independent and maintained sectors in Lancashire, UK.

• Charlotte is a passionate teacher known for organising and leading transformative overseas trips to destinations such as New York, Washington, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Beijing, and Shanghai to provide students with unique cultural and academic experiences to expand their global perspective.

• Charlotte has successfully prepared students for prestigious competitions, including those hosted by The Bank of England, Royal Economics Society, The Institute of Economic Affairs, and Young Enterprise. When mentoring a group of students to create an award-winning mathematical board game, she facilitated the establishment of a fully operational student-run registered company.

• Charlotte is currently an Edexcel A-Level Economics examiner for Paper 1 and Paper 2 and has been working for examination boards for over 20 years. 

• Working in the financial sector in the early 1990s provided Charlotte with practical insights into economic principles and market dynamics, which inspired her transition into teaching business and economics.

• In her spare time, Charlotte loves walking her two Labradors and watching football and cricket. Having played for the Blackburn Rovers Ladies team in her younger years, sport has always been a major part of her life.

Education:

Charlotte graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BA (Hons) in Economics and Public Policy. She completed her PGCE in 11-18 Business and Economics Education at Manchester University.

Expertise

• Charlotte has taught Business and Economics at Key Stage 4 and 5, specialising in Edexcel A-level Economics, but also has experience teaching OCR and AQA specifications.
