About

Education and work

  • Angela worked in various secondary schools for almost twenty years. She taught RE at all levels and abilities and has a wealth of experience in education, having also spent some time as a literacy manager and school librarian. Angela has always been passionate about helping young people to succeed and reach their potential in Religious Education. In doing so, they will develop critical thinking skills and the tolerant, empathetic outlook so important in our global society.

Awards and recognitions in their field

  • Angela has held several positions of responsibility within RE departments, including Second in RE, KS4 and KS3 Co-ordinator, and Head of Liturgy. As lead for Teaching and Learning initiatives, Angela was involved in the early development and deployment of VLE and online learning platforms.

  • Throughout her career, Angela has supported a wide range of students to achieve and exceed their potential at both GCSE and A level.

Published articles

  • Angela has written education resources for a liturgical company. She writes curriculum materials and educational content for a careers organisation. She is passionate about literacy and has written several published articles about the value of reading.
