Teaching Experience
Alex has been a teacher of geography for eight years and head of department for six. She has also been a leader for oracy and debate, the extended project qualification and providing for the most able students. She has worked in a challenging urban context and supported hundreds of students to achieve in their exams. Throughout her career she has designed hundreds of lessons and resources to break down, simplify and explain challenging geographical concepts.
Student Success
In these years she has also supported and guided many students to gain places at university to study geography and geography related subjects at universities such as Cambridge, Warwick and University College London. Alex has tutored students in the UK and China from primary to university level and really enjoys spending time supporting students to achieve their goals.
Other interests
Alex is a keen traveller and a qualified yoga teacher. These experiences allow her to connect with students in unique and supportive ways.
